| Hallbarns is a working farm in Northumberland situated on the edge of Hadrians Wall. This picturesque location makes a great base from which to visit the city of Newcastle or to travel to Northumberland's wide array of historic places of interest. Hexham is 20 minutes drive by car. The farmhouse itself is set on a hilltop and has commanding views of the surrounding countryside including views over nearby Chipchase Castle.

Accommodation comprises three rooms arranged as two twins and a family room, and will soon have another family room. Rooms are either Ensuite or with Private facilities, and are equipped with a television and freeview as standard, as well as hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and a tea and coffee tray. Communal areas are of a very high standard – the livingroom in particular is worth a mention with it's fine furniture, wooden flooring and real log fire. The dining room and patio area are also available for guest use.

Accommodation is rated 4 stars by the English Tourist Council in their Guest Accommodation category. This is one of the highest ratings achievable for a Bed and Breakfast.

Hallbarns Farmhouse welcome walkers and cyclists, and are delighted to make up packed lunches to you requirements on arrangement. Evening meals can also be provided when booked in advance. Hair driers and facilities for drying clothes and boots are also available.

As a working farm, Hallbarns are welcoming to animals and you can even bring your horse and make use of one of the spare stables.
